Review basis: Documentation-based review of Time4VPS’s public Linux VPS plans and support documentation, checked October 17, 2026. HRL has not deployed a VPS or independently tested speed, uptime, support, or backup restoration.

Hosting Review Lab editorial rating: 3.8/5. This score averages published feature fit, pricing and term transparency, and disclosed support and buyer-protection policies. It excludes performance and customer reputation because HRL has not conducted controlled performance tests or collected a verified customer-feedback dataset for this provider.

Time4VPS at a glance

Time4VPS sells self-managed VPS hosting with product families for Linux and other workloads. Customers select a plan with defined CPU, RAM, storage, and bandwidth, then manage the operating system and applications. The provider maintains the physical infrastructure and network, while the customer is responsible for server administration unless a separate management service changes that scope.

Time4VPS pricing and renewal rates

The Linux VPS page currently lists Linux 1 at €2.99 per month, with the same €2.99 monthly renewal rate. A Linux 2 offer is shown at €2.88 per month for a two-year term, then €5.77 per month on renewal. Linux 4 is shown at €4.38 per month for the introductory term and €8.76 per month at renewal. These are euro-denominated monthly equivalents, with the lower promotional rates tied to longer prepayment.

Plan exampleIntro monthly equivalentRenewalResources listed
Linux 1€2.99€2.99/mo1 CPU, 1 GB RAM, 10 GB storage, 1 TB bandwidth
Linux 2€2.88 on 2-year term€5.77/mo1 CPU, 2 GB RAM, 25 GB storage, 4 TB bandwidth
Linux 4€4.38 on 2-year term€8.76/mo2 CPU, 4 GB RAM, 50 GB storage, 8 TB bandwidth

Backups are shown as optional on the Linux VPS page. Factor backup add-ons and independent copies into the bill if the VPS will host important data. Also compare the term amount charged today, payment currency, applicable tax, and the server size needed for expected traffic.

Control and responsibilities

Time4VPS documents the Linux service as self-managed. It installs the initial operating system and maintains the physical hardware, network, and data-center infrastructure. The customer handles server configuration, operating-system security, updates, application deployment, and the recovery plan. Root-level control is valuable for custom software, but it also creates ongoing maintenance work.

Plan specs are more informative than broad visitor counts for VPS selection. Estimate CPU and memory use, storage growth, bandwidth, and backup requirements; start with a configuration that supports the application and monitor it after launch. If nobody on the team can patch and recover a Linux server, include managed support in the comparison.

Strengths and trade-offs

  • Strength: Public plans show CPU, RAM, storage, and bandwidth alongside introductory and renewal prices.
  • Strength: Linux 1 has a simple, steady €2.99/month listing.
  • Trade-off: Discounted Linux 2 and Linux 4 rates require long prepayment and rise at renewal.
  • Trade-off: Backups are optional, and server administration remains the customer’s responsibility.
  • Trade-off: Euro pricing can make the final U.S. dollar cost vary with exchange rates and payment fees.

Who should consider Time4VPS?

Time4VPS may suit a developer, technically capable business, or project that needs a low-cost Linux server and can manage it. It is not the simplest choice for a nontechnical buyer seeking a managed WordPress dashboard. Compare the renewal and backup add-on alongside the hardware resources before choosing a two-year discount.

HRL verdict

Time4VPS makes the plan resources and long-term price changes visible. Linux 1’s recurring €2.99 rate is distinct from the time-limited discounted equivalents on larger plans. Its value depends on whether you can handle system administration and backup recovery. HRL has not tested the service directly and does not assign a performance score.
