Hostinger’s October 6 product updates move its AI tools further into website operations. Hostinger Agent can now work directly with WordPress content, comments, users, categories, tags, WooCommerce products and selected site settings from hPanel chat.

What Happened

Hostinger says customers can ask Hostinger Agent to find posts, pages, media, comments, users, categories, tags or WooCommerce products; create and edit content; publish or unpublish posts; manage comments and categories; and adjust site settings.

A related October 5 update introduced Dex Code for Web Pro. It lets a user describe website changes in plain language, preview the proposed result and submit it for approval. Hostinger says it can change copy, images, links, metadata and sections or create landing pages from existing components.

Other October 6 releases added website generation from an uploaded HTML file, searchable and filterable PHP logs for Agency plans, store-performance comparisons across arbitrary date ranges, and a clearer integrations page that warns what may stop working before a service is disconnected.

Why It Matters

This is a material shift from an AI assistant that explains WordPress tasks to one that can perform them. Direct content, publishing and settings access can reduce repetitive administration, but it also increases the importance of permissions, change previews, revisions, backups and activity logs.

The preview-and-approval design described for Dex Code is particularly important. Agentic tools should make consequential changes inspectable before they reach a live site.

What the Company Says

Hostinger says WordPress management is available through Hostinger Agent in hPanel chat. Its changelog lists content creation and editing, publication-state changes, comment and category management, product lookup and site-setting changes among the supported actions.

For Dex Code, Hostinger says users can preview changes and submit them for approval. The company does not claim that every WordPress plugin, theme or custom workflow is supported.

HostingReviewLab Context

This follows Hostinger’s Week 39 update, which reduced its MCP interface to three tools and added multi-intent requests. Week 40 brings that agentic direction closer to everyday site operations.

What We Haven’t Independently Verified

HostingReviewLab has not connected Hostinger Agent to a production WordPress site, tested role boundaries, measured failure recovery, inspected activity logs, or verified compatibility with custom post types, page builders, multilingual plugins or complex WooCommerce extensions. The capabilities above are based on Hostinger’s changelog.

What Customers Should Know

  • Use the least-privileged account that can complete the intended task.
  • Review proposed changes, revision history and backups before giving an agent publication or settings access.
  • Test on staging before using agentic edits on an ecommerce, membership or lead-generation site.
  • Confirm whether actions are recorded in an audit log and how a failed multi-step task can be rolled back.
  • Check plan eligibility because Web Pro and Agency features may not be available on every Hostinger plan.
