Where the plans differ
StartUp is for one site and lists 10 GB of storage. GrowBig adds room for multiple sites, 50 GB of storage, staging, and on-demand backups. GoGeek raises storage to 100 GB and adds tools such as Git and priority support. All three list daily backups, SSL, a CDN, and business email. Choose GrowBig for those extra features only if you will use them: the listed annual renewal subtotal is $144 more than StartUp’s at the rates above.
The advertised free domain covers the first year on a qualifying registration. Domain renewals are a separate expense, and SiteGround says domain fees are not refundable. Verify the extension’s renewal price in the cart rather than assuming the second year is free. See SiteGround’s domain offer.
When will SiteGround renew the plan?
SiteGround says shared hosting plans renew automatically. For hosting renewal periods of 12 months or longer, it says automatic billing happens 15 days before the expiration date. That makes the charge date earlier than the date printed as the end of your first year. You can review or turn off auto-renewal in Client Area → Services → Hosting → Settings → Renewal Settings. Confirm both the renewal term and the expected amount there before the billing date.
What can be refunded?
SiteGround’s refund guidance gives new shared-hosting orders a 30-day money-back window from activation. It describes separate conditions for renewal refunds: requests within 30 days of a renewal payment can receive a full refund if the new term has not started, or a partial refund less the first month if it has. Domain fees and some other services are excluded. Submit a cancellation request through the Client Area if you want a refund; switching off future auto-billing by itself is not the same request.
Is the higher renewal worth it?
SiteGround may fit a small business that values its included email, daily backups, support, and WordPress tools enough to budget for the regular rate.
