HostArmada vs. ChemiCloud: Price, Renewal and Backups

HRL’s view: for the cited 36-month shared-hosting offers, ChemiCloud’s entry price is four cents lower per month, but HostArmada’s published renewal is $2/month lower. That makes HostArmada the lower ongoing price after the first term, while the first-term totals are nearly identical. Neither offer is a month-to-month price.

This is a documentation-based comparison of public plan details, checked October 17, 2026. HRL has not purchased accounts or independently tested uptime, speed, support response, or restore workflows for these providers. We do not assign a score without that evidence.

Price and plan comparison

Provider-published shared-hosting pricing references checked October 17, 2026. Verify the full checkout total and terms before purchase.
PlanIntroductory rateInitial term totalPublished renewalRefund window
HostArmada Start Dock$1.99/month equivalent$71.64 for 36 months$9.95/month45 days
ChemiCloud Starter$1.95/month equivalent$70.20 for 36 months$11.95/month45 days

On the first 36-month bill, ChemiCloud is $1.44 cheaper using the listed monthly equivalents. Once both plans renew at the published rates, HostArmada costs $2 less per month; it makes up that small initial difference in about one month, assuming the rates and chosen plan remain unchanged. Taxes, domains, add-ons and checkout promotions can change the invoice.

What the entry plans are suited for

HostArmada Start Dock is limited to one website and lists 15 GB of NVMe storage, 2 CPU cores, 2 GB RAM, and seven daily backup copies. ChemiCloud Starter also targets a single-site setup and includes daily backups, SSL, cPanel, and migration assistance. Confirm the current storage, resource limits, migration scope and backup retention on each plan page before treating the bundles as equivalent.

Both providers publish a 45-day money-back period for eligible hosting purchases. Read the exclusions and cancellation process; a refund window does not replace an independent backup, and domain registrations or other extras may be treated separately.

Which should you choose?

Choose HostArmada if renewal cost is the priority

HostArmada’s listed renewal is lower by $2/month. Its Start Dock plan also publishes a specific daily-backup count, which helps set expectations about the included recovery window. Check whether seven copies are enough for your site and whether you need downloadable off-site backups.

Choose ChemiCloud if the initial invoice matters most

ChemiCloud’s displayed 36-month equivalent is slightly lower, saving $1.44 across the cited term. That difference is small relative to the full invoice. Compare the exact backup restore policy, migration scope, performance needs and support options before deciding.

Consider another plan if you host multiple sites

The entry plans are designed for one site. Compare the next tier if you need more websites or resources, and recalculate both the upfront total and renewal. A bigger plan is not automatically better value if you do not need the added capacity.

How we would decide

For a small, single-site project that can prepay three years, compare the actual checkout totals and the renewal prices side by side. HostArmada has the stronger published renewal price; ChemiCloud has the marginally lower first-term equivalent. The difference between these public offers is small enough that backup retention, migration support, resource limits and the full amount charged today should decide the purchase.
